I would like to say that I have been ever-so-busy writing; that I have a good 2,000 words of The Echo Man under my belt and a few articles ready to post.
I could say that, but it would make me a big, fat, lying liar.
Instead, I have spent a good chunk of the last three days in the helpdesk equivalent of a fight in a pub car park with Ionos, WordPress, and the shadowy little f***er who hacked my site and left gambling-site garbage lying around the place.
It’s all done, for now, and I’ll be keeping a much closer eye on things from here on out. I may also need to do a crash course in website security, because apparently running a tiny corner of the internet now requires the skillset of a medieval scribe, a bouncer, and a cyberpunk night-watchman.
I have also been trying to build a bit of a presence over on Twitter, for I shall never call it X, and Bluesky, with a few odds and sods appearing on Instagram and Substack as well. I’ve added the links to the footer, so check them out.
Reading-wise, I have been ploughing my way through a few books. I have only scratched the surface with each of them so far, but now that I have freed up some mental bandwidth, I should finally be able to get my teeth into some quality reading time.
