Greetings from the edge,

Things in the broom cupboard have been busy.

I’ve taken the plunge, built up my karma, paid my subscription, and am now once again a full member of Scribophile. I’ve posted the first 3,000 words of The Bone Garden to the queue to be critiqued by my fellow wordsmiths.

All the feedback I’ve received so far has been very positive, though that may just be my beta readers being kind.

Now that IONOS have fixed the SEO sign-up issue, I’m working through the site and aiming to optimise three to five articles per day. Once the basics are in place, keywords, meta descriptions, and the like, I can crack open my copy of The Art of SEO and get into the finer details of drawing in real, human eyeballs.

I’ve also started reading Curse of Strahd, and decided to pick up a Tarokka deck to go with it. The problem is that it’s out of print. So, naturally, I went to eBay and paid what can only be described as a frankly daft amount… only to realise, immediately after checkout, that I’d used my old address.

Shit

I’ve messaged the seller, so hopefully it can be sorted. At this point, it feels like the real Curse of Strahd is getting to play the thing in the first place.

I’m still working on finishing Misery so I can do a side-by-side comparison for The Chop Shop, and continuing to write Recovered Tapes You Shouldn’t Watch Alone. It’s slower going than I’d like, but I’m getting there.

See you in the margins,
